Design goals
Design an editor that feels like a collaborator rather than a tool, making AI suggestions easy to accept, edit, or ignore without breaking flow.

Problem
Generated drafts arrived as a wall of text with no way to tell which parts were safe to trust and which needed a second look.
Accepting or rejecting AI suggestions meant leaving the editor entirely, breaking concentration on every single edit.

Designing the prompt-to-draft flow
Users start from a short brief or a pasted transcript, and Quill streams the draft in visibly so it never feels like a black box producing a finished answer out of nowhere.

The editing experience
Inline suggestion chips let writers accept, tweak, or dismiss a change without leaving the sentence they’re reading, keeping editing closer to proofreading than to prompting.

Visual design
A quiet, paper-like canvas keeps focus on the writing itself, with AI-authored text set apart by a subtle tint rather than loud badges or color blocks.
